This week's Entrepreneur of the Week is Celeste Knickerbocker, a mind-body fitness professional based in Los Angeles. She has extensive training in the Pilates & GYROTONIC® methods, and combine that with a strong foundation in dance, fitness, and bodywork, She considers herself a ‘Movement Therapy’ practitioner. Celeste genuinely believes that she is doing her part to make the world a happier place, one body at a time -- and she is fortunate to constantly see the tangible validation of its effectiveness. Surrounded by music, dance, art, and the great outdoors since childhood, Celeste considers movement to be the backbone of her life. Through Celeste's studies of various exercises, movement disciplines, and healing art concepts – combined with a keen eye, natural empathy, and holistic approach – she has nurtured body and soul while developing a successful practice as a fitness instructor hoping to empower and inspire women and men all over the world. Celeste works with clients who come from all walks of life and every corner of the globe. She can work with many different body types and guides her clients towards a goal or desire. There are few moments as fulfilling to Celeste as watching a student reach a mark they worked to attain. With a physical therapy infused mindset, she believe that fitness can happen at any time, any age, and despite most ailments or physical limitations. Beyond promoting strong bodies and a healthy lifestyle, Celeste's work as an instructor aims to help clients prevent or recuperate from injuries, prepare women for the physical demands of childbirth, and guide survivors of interpersonal trauma toward healing and reconnecting with their bodies. She encourages clients to focus their attention on key areas that will reform the body, mind, and spirit from the inside out. Because everyone benefits from thoughtful movement, Celeste strives to help the techniques she celebrates to become more widely available and far reaching. Celeste believe they can be practiced anytime, anywhere… The new Studio on Spring in DTLA!Locally, Celeste is thrilled to launch her Studio on Spring, where she works with clientele in a private setting in the heart of DTLA’s Historic Core.
